What Tinkerman is

Tinkerman is an unofficial, fan-made analysis companion for FPL. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Premier League or the operators of its official fantasy game. All analysis, ratings and recommendations are our own opinions, offered for entertainment — squad decisions are yours.

No accounts

There is nothing to sign up for. Your FPL team ID, theme choice, Pro status and preferences are stored only in your browser (local storage) and never leave your device. Clearing the site's data in your browser removes all of it.

Your team ID

The team ID you connect is a public identifier — anyone with it can see the same squad on the official site. Tinkerman uses it to read your public squad through the official API and computes everything in your browser.

Notifications (optional)

If you enable deadline reminders, your browser's push subscription (a delivery address issued by your browser vendor, not your identity), your chosen categories and — if connected — your team ID are stored server-side, solely to send those notifications. Turning notifications off deletes the record; dead subscriptions are pruned automatically. Nothing else is ever sent.

Pro purchases (optional)

If you buy Pro, payment is handled entirely by Stripe — we never see your card. To make your pass work without an account, we store server-side: your unlock code, the email used at checkout, an activation count, the pass's validity, and (so your other devices inherit your setup) a small settings snapshot: team ID, theme and Dream XV preferences. That's the whole record. It expires with the pass, and refunding the purchase deactivates it.

Refunds: write to us within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund you via Stripe, no questions asked. A refunded pass deactivates.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics: aggregated, cookie-free page counts. We also keep aggregate feature counters — a tap on, say, the swap button sends the event name and nothing else. Opening a page counts the same way. So that a returning visitor is not counted twice in one day, your device stores a single date; that date stays on your device and is never sent to us. Alongside the daily visitor count we keep a running total per country, taken from the country our host already sees on the request — country only, never a city, an IP address or anything joined to what you did. No advertising identifiers, no cross-site tracking, no personal profiles. We do not collect or infer age, gender or any other demographic.

Data sources

Match, player and fixture data come from the official public FPL API. Player photos and club badges are loaded from the league's public image servers and belong to their respective owners.
